Fight the Credit Crunch with IT

The takeITon team devised the 'Fight the Crunch with IT' event as a practical workshop designed ti show businesses how they can use the IT they already have to improve their productivity and fight off the effects of the recession, and ensure they are prepared for the upturn.

In these six workshops held across the whole of the region, businesses learnt:

• How technology can help manage creditors and make sure invoices get paid on time
• Quick and simple ways to use IT to win more business from existing customers
• Low-cost, IT-driven marketing techniques to help a business stand out from the crowd
• How to use technology to save money by working smarter - not harder.

How to Market your Business Online

This workshop was developed to demonstrate to businesses how online marketing has become a powerful low-cost way to get meassurable, high-impact results. The workshop was designed to help guide businesses through the major online marketing techniques, discuss how they work and who does them well, and help them to decide what would suit their business.

In these six workshops held across the whole of the region, businesses learnt:

• How to create an online marketing plan for your business
• What the top performing online marketing strategies are and which are appropriate for you
• How to implement them and do them well
• How to get the results you want from web designers, SEO consultants and other third parties in the online marketing industry
