Grant funding

Businesses that are keen to grow though IT, may be eligible for funding to help them adopt a new IT infrastructure. Support may be available for up to 40% of a project cost (excluding VAT) subject to a maximum of £4000.

Who is eligible?

  • Any business based in the East of England which has been trading for at least 12 months and employs more than five but less than 50 fulltime equivalent employees.
  • The business must demonstrate the potential and aspiration for growth. The project must be strategic, and form part of a broader plan for business development or growth.
  • The business must demonstrate that the proposed investment is designed to improve the competitiveness of the business. This must be supported by an action plan developed with a Business Link IT Adviser
  • The business must demonstrate that they have not received other grants or subsidies which could make them ineligible and must demonstrate that without the grant the project would not go ahead.
  • The funding cannot be used for the purchase of hardware, software or to provide basic IT training but is available to help businesses develop through the use of technology.

How do I apply?

You should make an appointment with a Business Link IT Adviser, who will undertake a comprehensive IT audit with you, and agree a plan of action for your company, at which point he/she will advise whether your business is eligible to receive grant funding.
